Alternate Energy Inc. (the Company) warrants its HVAC unit, including piping, compressor, coils, expansion valves, evaporator, condenser, and labor against defects in material or workmanship under proper application and installation for the period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase to the original end-user customer. The Company agrees to repair or, at the Company's option, replace the defective product without charge to the customer during such time.

The Company also warrants our workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of original purchase, for any damage caused to the home by the installation of HVAC unit and the subsequent works relating to the said HVAC unit installation, if a third party contractor confirms that the Company was at fault. A purchaser's receipt or other proof of date of original purchase acceptable to the Company is required before performance on the warranty shall be rendered. This warranty only covers product failure due to defects in materials or workmanship, which occurs in normal use. It does not cover the HVAC unit breaking due to misuse, abuse, lack of reasonable care, alteration or any other failure not resulting from defects in materials or workmanship. Damage to the product caused by separately purchased, non-Company provided parts or components are not covered by this warranty. Exclusions to this warranty include service calls for resetting the unit or cleaning of system parts. The Company authorizes no other warranty, written or verbal. This warranty gives you specific legal rights.

Warranty Exclusions:

This warranty does not apply to problems with the operation of, damage to, or failure of HVAC units arising or resulting from conditions such as, but not limited to:

a.)The improper combination or attachment to the HVAC unit of other devices, equipment or parts, or by installation methods thereof; b.) Electrical surges, spikes or outages; c.) Exceptional incidents, natural disasters, and extreme weather conditions including but not limited to occurrences such as earthquake, flood, lightning, hurricane, typhoon, tornado, fire, explosion, government action, an act of war or terrorism, or other force majeure events; d.) Electrical shorting of electronics board due to gecko and/or other insect damage; e.) Wear and tear that is of a cosmetic nature and has no effect on the performance of the HVAC unit; f.) Acid rain, smoke, other kinds of pollution causing corrosion, or severe environmental conditions; and/or g.) Criminal conduct such as misuse, neglect, breakage, vandalism, or other criminal conduct.
